The Riders Association
of Triumph
Auckland RAT Pack is very active with a full calendar of events each year:
- Day Rides are on the first Sunday of every month; leaving at 9.00am from the Mobil petrol station on the corner of K Rd & Ponsonby Rd in the city.
- Regular socials are held on the third Tuesday of every month at Portside Brasserie & Bar on Halsey St, starting at approx. 6pm.
- Dinner Rides, leaving at 6pm on a Saturday for a short ride (max 1hr) before an evening
meal, take place 2 -
3 times a year during the summer. - Overnighters, or weekend rides, happen approx 3 -
4 times a year and involve two days riding with a stay in a motel somewhere overnight.
Rides are organised so that anyone can enjoy them; whatever they ride. Route maps are provided and there is always someone on each junction to mark any turns. The idea is that everyone rides at their own pace! Rides generally vary from 250km to 400km in length, depending on the weather and the time of year, and involve plenty of stops for refreshments and to regroup.
